Shannon Horsfall

Shannon Horsfall is the award-winning author-illustrator of Was Not Me and Nomax (both HarperCollins) – a Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable in 2017, and the illustrator of Dear Santa (Scholastic), My Unicorn Farts Glitter (Hachette), Once, I Munched a Mango (State Library of Queensland) and Jack Changes the Game (with AFP and QWC). She has published short stories, poetry and flash fiction in anthologies and literary journals. Shannon has a long and varied career as a creative practitioner visual design, communication and marketing, and creative writing and illustration. Shannon teaches Creative Writing, Communication and Creative Industries at UniSC.

Shannon, as an experienced author, illustrator and editor, is available for manuscript assessments – from concept to structure and copy editing, illustration, design and layout. She also offers workshops in writing for children, writing for picture books, character development, and story structure and plot.
